Women's health strategy

Nationally, a women's health strategy  has been launched to put more support in place for women, and in Kent and Medway we're keen to hear from local people to help us develop our approach to women's health.

Whether it's periods, pregnancy or menopause, women and those born female have health conditions to manage which are unique to their sex.

And although women's life expectation is usually longer than men's, statistics show they live with greater ill health for longer.

What we did

We asked women of all ages, and people interested in women's health, to tell us what they think and tell us about their experience of women's health.

We ran a survey from December 2023 until February 2024. Thank you to everyone who shared their story with us. We will be working hard to read all of the experiences and to write a report which will be shared on this page in due course.

We hosted an online workshop in January, attended by women across Kent and Medway, who shared their experiences with us.

What we heard

All feedback will be analysed and we will publish a report on here in March 2024 and more details about how we will be improving services as a result of the information you've shared.
