In Kent and Medway, Dynamic Support Arrangements (DSA) are in place to support autistic people and/or those with a learning disability whose mental health needs are causing concern to them, their families, or their support teams.
The DSA can support people with a confirmed diagnosis of autism; a learning disability or both - or for those who are on the pathway for an autism assessment, who…
- are open to support services such as-
- Social Care or Early Help
- Children and Adult Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Community Mental Health Team (CMHT- People 18 years and over)
- at risk of:
- A person is at risk of going to mental health hospital
- services are breaking down and struggling to improve things for things for the person.
- The person is at risk of involvement from the police or the criminal justice system.
Consultation
A meeting with one of our professionals might be needed to make sure these services are right for you.
They will also be a point of contact for you and your family to help you avoid admission to hospital or in settling back in the community after being in hospital.
